E-Vaulting Services

Utilizing an array of geographically diverse data centers, Peak 10 offers clients the security of backing up their critical data to multiple locations. Transfer of the data is monitored in order to ensure complete and accurate backups. E-Vaulting clients have access to multiple Internet service providers from each Peak 10 data center, ensuring that the data will be backed up. E-Vaulting is more flexible and typically faster than removable media and physical transportation to offsite storage. E-Vaulting services include:

  • Critical data backed up to geographically remote data center
  • Data sent over secure private line
  • Backups automated to ensure timely and complete data transfer
  • Critical data available for fast restore
  • Compliant with regulations such as HIPAA, Sarbanes-Oxley and Graham-Leach-Blilley.
On-site Tape Backup and Restore

  • Options include “cold,” “hot” and “active online” database backups
  • Full weekly backups and daily incremental backups
  • 14-day retention
  • Customers can initiate restores through a GUI interface or command line, with the restores being initiated within 30 minutes of receipt of the request
  • Offsite tape vaulting
  • Customers have their own pool of tapes
  • Restores are performed to specific IP addresses, ensuring that customers cannot restore any data but their own

Remote Backup and Restore

  • On-line, disk-based backup and recovery
  • Includes all hardware, software, media, implementation, maintenance, remote operations, support and monitoring

Tape Rotation

  • Peak 10 will eject media and insert next media in sequence defined by the customer
  • Customer-owned backup device and storage in customer’s cage
  • Rotation will occur as scheduled by the customer
  • Functionality of the backup is customer responsibility
